Our Kinders Class
“The days leading up to Halloween are joyful here at school. It is so much fun to sing the Halloween song, create spooky art and talk about the special day. We always include safety in our discussions because children tend to involved in fol de rol they often forget to think about the rules that will help keep them safe. Perhaps, if you are taking them trick or treating Halloween evening, you might ask them to tell you about the safety rules before you leave.

Kinder’s Daily Schedule
9:00-9:10am
Welcome Circle
9:10 – 9:40 am
Outdoor Recess
9:40 – 9:55 am
2nd Circle with Kinders. Time to listen to each other, to plan our day, to introduce new works that will be placed on the shelves and often include a short lesson.
9:55 – 11:25 am
Individual work period.
11:15 – 11:30 am
Hand washing. Snack.
11:25 – 11:40 am
Clean up- put finished work on the shelf – unfinished work can be saved with
participant’s name card. Small group snack.
11:40 – Noon pm
Outdoor Recess – free play.
(Wednesday recess is 11:10 am – 11:30 am to allow time for music between 11:30am – noon.)
Noon – 12:30 pm
Last Kinder circle. Some children choose to complete morning work, while others meet for a group lesson: science, geography, math or language.
Tuesdays & Wednesdays are sharing days where the children can bring a theme related item to share from home.
12:30 – 1:00 pm
Lunch.
